Why Business Shield?

Business Shield is the reimagined Business Support Plan — a practical, modular managed-service plan for businesses that need dependable day-to-day IT support and baseline cybersecurity, but aren’t ready for the entry requirements of our All-In offering. It delivers the essentials (helpdesk, endpoint protection, backup, monitoring), plus clear upgrade paths when you want deeper coverage.

 

What’s included

Helpdesk & user support

  • Phone, email and secure remote support for everyday workstation issues.

  • Password resets, account maintenance (local & cloud), and basic network/connectivity troubleshooting.

  • Standard triage + escalation to Level 1–3 technicians.

Managed cybersecurity (baseline)

  • Endpoint antivirus and internet security on workstations.

  • Ransomware detection / baseline protections (limited containment/EDR is available in All-In).

Desktop & device management

  • Windows patching and desktop monitoring, encryption monitoring and basic asset tracking.

  • In-shop hardware repair labor included.

Backup

  • Per-device backup with 500 GB per covered device, plus backup monitoring and problem resolution.

Per-user & portal

  • Secure client portal for tickets and documentation.

  • Periodic security newsletters and basic end-user guidance.

 

What Business Shield does not cover (so expectations are clear)

To keep costs and scope predictable, Business Shield focuses on core, per-device support. Exclusions include:

    • Application-level support for Office apps, advanced browser or password-manager support (Enterprise handles these).

    • Server coverage (patching/monitoring), Linux support, privileged account management, backup or VM management.

    • M365/Google Workspace backups, advanced disaster recovery, SOC/24-7 response, automated compliance reporting, and other enterprise-grade services (available in Enterprise).

    • On-site support staff, although you do receive a discount.

Modular add-ons & upgrade path

Business Shield is intentionally modular — you can buy incremental capabilities without committing to the full Enterprise entry fee. Common add-ons include:

    • Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace backups and advanced configuration

    • Extended cybersecurity (EDR, 24/7 SOC monitoring), User Training and Mail filtering

    • Network management (firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi controllers)

    • Server support and advanced backup/recovery

    • DNS and Domain Management Services
    • Per-project services (migrations, DR testing, vendor integrations)

Next-generation mobile security and company-issued phone protection are Enterprise features; Business Shield focuses on corporate desktops/laptops.

Monthly, per covered device. Additions change your monthly billing as devices are added.

Contracts are one year in length.

Yes, we offer onsite services to our business support customers.  Services are billed monthly at our normal onsite rates, with a 20% discount.
